Kitten Diary 8/4/08: The kittens are well on their way to
being weaned, with our little Autumn streaking ahead in the scoffing
stakes! The kittens alway have fresh water and Royal Canin Baby
Cat biscuits down, but in addition they have a morning and evening
feed of wet food. We have given up using the wet food that you
can buy in the supermarket - it has a nasty affect on very young
kittens' digestion. Instead we use food that is specially prepared
using raw ingredients - for example seafood (with squid, prawns,
shrimps, mussells etc) and chicken (minced and tinned). The kittens
love it - Autumn will eat with her bigger and older foster siblings,
and they all stand on the plate singing as they eat. It's a wonderful
sound! |

Kitten Diary 30/3/08: Eve, Autumn and Arty - despite their
rocky start - are continuing to progress very well. They have
been fostered by Pru since they were around six hours old. Mum
was very unsure what to do and would sit at the opposite end of
the pen with her back to them, growling. Pru has taken them on
as her own and it is now almost week four and their personalities
are developing. They use the litter tray, and I just found Autumn
lapping at the water bowl. Arty is the cutey of the bunch - Autumn
is going to be naughty - and Eve is more laid back and quiet. |
