31st
December: Wow! It's the last day
of the year and Dollycats finds itself in the embarassing
position of having no Dollycats available! Ruebli - the
last remaining silver spotted girl - has been rehomed as
a breeding queen with a lovely couple from Somerset who
sadly lost their last breeding girl at a very young age.
Despite their bad experience this couple have pressed on
and bought two other cats from different breeders to restart
their breeding programme. We wish them good luck and lots
of support for 2008!
We
do still have Ripley available for a new non-breeding indoor
home, however if she doesn't sell soon we will probably
change our mind and keep her on!
Our
friend Barbara still has some adorable brown Bengal babies
available. Please call us and we'll put you in touch.
For
the New Year: We have girls in with the boys at the
moment. We are anticipating that Pru and Myfanwy are now
pregnant, though their pregnancies will need confirming
towards the end of January. We can expect brown spotties
and possibly marbles. Prudence is Miss Python's mother -
Python is our award winning home-bred and is very popular
with visitors. Pru is currently 'sun bathing' on top of
our fridge - Python has stopped opening our cupboard doors
and is now jumping into plastic bags. Beware! This is the
sort of purrrrsonality you can expect from Pru's babies!
Flower
and Cally have both been in with Lothario, but he's still
very young and doesn't seem to be interested in 'the job'
at the moment. They will be going in with Thriller in the
next few weeks.
Our
first home-bred, Miss Python, wil be ready for breeding
in January, or February. We are hoping for some gorgeous
marbles from her union with our Glitterglam stud, Thriller.
If you would like to reserve a marbled kitten from our naughty
Python, please let us know!
We
are excited to be bringing Savannahs to the south of the
UK with deposits now being taken! We're very sorry, but
we can no longer accept waiting list enquiries without deposits
- it will be a matter of watching our Savannah site to see
what is available for people that do not want to place deposits.
We do, however, expect our kittens to be sold before they
are very many weeks old. We already have deposits prior
to our cats even arriving in the country. Our Savannah site
is here - Teardrops
Savannahs

30th
December: All change here. Just
brought Prudence back inside after her visit with Thriller.
We witnessed one mating on Christmas Eve - hopefully Pru
is now carrying Thriller's babies.
Flower
is still in with Lothario. Although she is obviously in
season Lothario looks more puzzled than anything else! So
she'll stay in with him for another day or two and then
come back inside. If she is not pregnant we will place her
with Thriller.
Myfanwy
has come out of her shell since our housemove. She lives
in our conservatory which is our main living area and shares
her territory with our Russian Blue kitten, Miss Python
and now, Prudence. Myfanwy is calling again, and attempting
to copulate with Prudence every chance she gets so the chances
are she is not pregnant with Thriller's babies and will
go out with him in a week or twos time.
We
will be getting a new BLUE queen from Norfolk in a few weeks
time - great!

29th
December: We hope you all had
a very nice christmas. Here at Dollycats we are just starting
our breeding plans for 08. Prudence (who sadly lost her
kittens a while ago) is now happily in with our boy Thriller.
Flower is out visiting with Lothario - but he's still just
a learner, so we're not expecting anything just yet.
Ruebli's
pictures need updating. We've just moved house, and we can't
find the USB lead, so the pics will have to wait. Saying
that Ruebli is waiting for visitors. She is available to
both breeding and pet homes.
Our
friend Barbara (also based in Dorset) has three brown spotties
ready now. Please note that as with almost all breeders
I know, Barbara requires indoor homes ONLY
for her babies.

23rd
December: Great news for silver
Bengal lovers! We have decided to rehome Dollycats Ruebli
from the Swiss Miss litter, as a pet. She will be ready
to go on 24th February 2008!
This
will probably be the last update before Christmas, so Merry
Christmas to all of our visitors. Don't drink too much and
take care over the busy festive season!

21st
December: We currently have one
silver female kitten available for breeding (see breeding
quality bengal kittens page for more details) and one
adult silver girl
who needs to be an 'only child' and will be spayed before
rehoming.

16th
December: Erbsli has been reserved
and will be going off to live in Portugal in March - bless
her. Her sister Ruebli is still available for breeding enquiries.
To see Ruebli you need to be on this
page. All very quiet this weekend - all but ten cats
have been moved out of Dollycats in readiness for their
new home - which we will be taking them to on Monday. Yes!
We are moving! May be offline for a while, so enjoy our
pictures and videos whilst we're away!
Later:
We have decided to retire Ripley now that she has had
her first litter - you can see her on the 'Adult
Cats for Sale' page. She will be ready to join her new
owner in a safe indoor home in February 2008.

14th
December: Spent last night sprucing
up the Breeding Plans page so that there are now pictures
of the parents to be!

13th
December: More photographs and
a video! Lucky you! Picture of Ripley on the gallery
page.

12th
December: No news.

10th
December: Just reshuffled the
pages to create an Adult Cats page.

9th
December: No news. All is well!

7th
December: Another update to our
Testimonials page, but nothing else - it's so quiet! People
are thinking about Christmas and Christmas shopping and
not kittens.
Still
looking for homes - a selection of 13 week old boy kittens
- show quality, but this doesn't mean you have to show them!
All ready and looking for indoor homes.
We
have adult cats looking for homes - ex-queens and an older
kitten (eight months - still counts as a kitten!) and for
the breeding professional we also have available a gorgeous
show stud.
These
are bred from the best UK and US lines - contact us and
we'll put you in touch with the breeder.

Thought you might like this. Wait a few seconds
and Thriller winks!

5th
December: Added a picture to our
gallery page and a few to our Queens' page, but apart from
that the only updates are to new owners' private pages.

4th
December: I've changed the status
of Erbsli and Ruebsli to 'on hold'. The kittens are silver
and showing some brown tarnish, but I'm confident the tarnish
will go. Until it has, and their faces and body types have
developed we are thinking of keeping them here so at this
time they are only available to other people as breeders.
If
you would like a kitten ready to go in a few weeks, then
please contact us. I have a friend who has some show quality
male kittens that are available to indoor homes only.
See below.

3rd
December: Sadly Prudence has lost
two kittens at a very early stage - there may still be one
remaining, but its future doesn't look great, so I will
be taking Pru's pregnancy announcement off all pages. We
won't know whether she has managed to keep hold of the kitten
until nearly term - January.
Later:
Just taken the first pictures of Ripley's babies. We think
they're silver spotted, but could also be cool brown - it
will be a few weeks before we can tell for sure.

2nd
December: Another satisfied Dollycats
owner and another update to the Testimonials page!

1st
December: The first of December
and the count down to Christmas and the New Year. We've
had a move around with the cats today. Myfanwy has been
in the house for some weeks and, as hoped, she started calling
again last night. So we took her outside to Thriller today.
When I say we 'took her outside', that makes it sound a
lot easier than it actually was. Myfanwy is the only cat
of ours who cannot be approached by us. No idea why - she
came here at the same time as her half sister Bronwyn, who
gets along with us perfectly well. We spent around ten minutes
wearing Myfanwy out as she hid behind the television, the
sofa, up the stairs - then behind the television, sofa and
up the stairs - and so on and so forth until she became
sufficiently slow for us to capture. She didn't much like
her twenty yard ride in her carry case to see Thriller in
his pen, but she looked quite pleased once she was put down
in his pen. Not so much pleased as.. what's the word I want?
Oh yes. Smug.
